Before the upgrade my Dell Dimension 2400 struggled badly when I was opening multiple tabs in the Opera and Firefox web browsers. Understandable I guess given the rather meagre 256MB RAM it had to work with.

Now it has 1200+ RAM the PC starts up noticeably quicker, is much less prone to the irritating "NOT RESPONDING" messages and can easily handle the dozens of browser tabs I open simultaneously.

What a difference.
