My old 2003 Mobo was taking 10 minutes to POST. I noticed that when it finally proceeded, that the first output was the memory check completed. Thought I'd try putting in new memory, but would i find compatible? Curcial had my model listed with compaitble memory. I bought the 4x1GB set, and it boots like new. Tossed the old Kingston memory.

The crucial detail that a higher capacity DIMM needed to be in the lowest slot is on the Crucial website, but required that I hunt it down. Initial installation into a higher slot resulted in a couple of lost days trying to figure out why the machine kept randomly rebooting itself.

I used Crucial's usually accurate configurator but this time it missed the mark. It said I needed two of this part to max out a P4VXASD2+ motherboard, so that it what I ordered. After being unable to get it to recognize more than 1GB in spite of patient assistance from Luke in tech support, further research suggested that this board may be limited to only 1GB total, and not 2GB.

To Crucial's credit, however, upon explanation of the situation they have issued a RMA and I expect to get a full refund. In light of that, I shall continue to use and recommend Crucial for memory needs.

Extended the life of an old desk top by making it faster and compatable with CAD/CAM software. Basically the computer will never become obsolete as it is dedicated to CAD/CAM software and officeware.
Regular computer shops said that no memory was available at a reasonable price so buy a new computer.

I recently added 2 each (2 gb) memory sticks to my computer which helped improove my computers performance. I ordered 3 memory sticks but found out my system could only use 2. I sent back the extra card after getting an RA NUMBER and got a full refund with no problem at all.

With today's applications and Operating systems the more RAM you have the better. I upgraded from my Crucial 1GB(4X256MB) to 2GB(2X1GB)ECC PC3200.

I biuld the computers about 2003. I had installed 2 512Mb ram in each. I decided to upgrade and put the maximum RAM in each. I bought 3 DDR3200 1Gb for my sons computer and 4 DDR 3200 1GB for my computer and they all worked great.

They informed me that it was the wrong chip and that I needed a NON ECC rather than the one I was sent. Can I exchange this chip for the proper one? I would like to continue to use your product.

The computer is running faster and applications are loading much quicker. I upgraded from 768 MB to 1.75 GB of RAM. There have been no noticeable negative aspects to the memory upgrade. Why would there be?
