I am so happy with this purchase. I have never upgraded RAM on a mac so I had a few doubts about doing it. [...] I also had some concerns over how much it would actually help. I've had success upgrading RAM on PC's in the past, but saw some reviews that said it didn't improve their speed. It made me think maybe it was a Mac thing. Wrong. My computer has NEW life! It's running faster than it ever did before. Not only that, but it was incredibly EASY to install. Remove 1 screw, take the cover plate off, pull out the old memory and insert the new ones. Couldn't be easier. Took about 5 minutes tops (including shut down and reboot time on my computer). I'm a VERY happy customer. I don't even normally write reviews, but was so happy I felt inclined to do so. Thank you Crucial!! I'm a happy customer.

I downloaded Crucial's software from their site and it told me what I needed and my options for a RAM boost. I went for the full 4 gigs and now surfing the web while using Photoshop, Illustrator, and listening to music can happen without any lag. Maxed out the RAM in the multi-use/Point of Sale computer at a busy bike shop. We run many apps at once and YouTube alot as well as run a couple of large databases. I installed in my 2007 ALum iMac 2.4ghz. Before I noticed some blips in Snow Leopard mainly with expose. Installation tooks 5 minutes (pull out, pop in, turn on) and it works like a charm. No more blips.

I am not a techie nor a whiz at the computer. A repair tech suggested to me to get this kit and install it myself. Driven to save money by doing it myself, I took a chance, bought the kit, and installed it without any help (other than the computer's manual). This RAM kit increased the response of all my applications. I have VMWare Fusion running alongside the Mac OSX which slowed everything down. I think my computer could be even faster but compared to before, it works much, much better. There is hardly any loading time and after 2 weeks, I have not have had any hanging that I experienced before.

Memory worked as advertised, however, after placing order I found the same objects for [$] less at other online retailers (that big store that starts with [...], etc). I expect better pricing from mfgr and see no reason to purchase where customer service wouldn't even offer to discount to same price when I called in 3 minutes after placing order! Lesson learned, and although the product works as advertised, I will shop around before buying direct again.

My iMac came with 1 Gig of Ram. There are certain websites that only run on Internet Explorer or situations where its easier to work with Excel in XP, so I purchased the Parallels software to see how well it would work. Unfortunately, with only 1 Gig of original ram the machine dragged to a halt, so I checked out the Crucial site and purchased the 4 Gig upgrade.

My iMac now runs flawlessly operating Parallels with a full MS Office Suite and IE running as well as Office for Mac applications running! I've got all the power I need. Great product at a great price!

I upgraded my 2008 iMac 20" Aluminum from 2GB to this 4GB kit. Installation was very simple, actually easier than on a PC. I needed this because I use Photoshop CS4 and that thing just gobbles up ram. I actually need more than 4GB but my iMac doesn't accept more than that. I guess I will have to purchase a mac Pro sometime down the road. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend this company. This brand is what was shipped in my iMac when I bought it. Also, I called a mac store in a mall and they gave me a quote that is 4 times the cost I payed for these. It's a no brainer, go with this company.

Memory being used in dual boot iMac. The stock 1G was plenty for Mac OSX, but not even close to enough for Vista. Machine works great with the extra memory, even when booted in Vista.

I had a difficult time removing the screw, as everything that I read said to use a #2 Phillips, in our new iMac. For some unknown reason, this would not "grab", so I used a very small slotted screw driver instead with great success. The screw is very short and it doesn't come out prior to removing the memory access door. I removed both at once, just in case anyone else is wondering if they are doing this correctly.

My iMac was slow running my digital recording software, and I knew that at 1GB memory this was my bottleneck.
I added 4GB from Crucial and it's as if the problem never existed. I haven't had one issue with latency since.

Went from 2GB to 4GB, now Final Cut Express 4 runs much more smoothly. Installation was easy except for you really have to push the dimm in HARD to get it to seat all the way in the slot, which is kind of unnerving. FYI, the sodimms I got from Micron were made/branded by another company, not Micron. But the original sodimms that came with my Mac were branded Samsung. No big deal, just goes to show that you're perfectly fine buying aftermarket RAM for Mac, since it is not like Apple makes their own anyway.
