I was using 512MB which was struggling with the load of today's OS and application software. I went to 2GB which maxed out this hardware. It was relatively inexpensive and makes a world of difference. I went through the same upgrade on my wife's laptop, and she is very happy with it!

According to E Machine my PC could handle 1024 MB of RAM, so I purchased two (2) 514 MB RAM cards and the old pc runs like a three legged scalded dog.

Crucial's store is easy to navigate, so it was easy to find this, which is just what I needed. The original RAM in my mom's computer (all 256M of it from forever ago) was Crucial so I wanted to stick with what works. Two 512M and her computer is running considerably faster. She is very happy with her "new" computer.

as soon as i got it, i put it in my PC and kicked out the old 256mb. Turn the PC on and i found that my boost time was dramatically cut. My applications launched faster, desktop was loaded faster. I can actually have firefox, word and powerpoint open at same time :)
