I made the error of not checking to see if I had DDR or DDR2 memory in my Powerbook. The difference between the two meant that I had to reorder. Unfortunately, Crucial does not carry the DDR2 variety for my specific application. They were generous enough to allow me to return the RAM for a full refund, so kudos to them.

it is basically a useful memory boost to my old powerbook G4 until i have enough cash to buy a new macbook. didn't hugely impact speed or ability to have multiple apps open but does free up RAM so that i don't dip into the harddrive on a daily basis for memory.

I bought two of these modules, upgrading my old PowerBook G4 from 1 to 2GB. The chips came well packaged, and were easy to install; the difference they made to my system was beyond even what I had hoped for. I'm a graphic/web designer, so it's very common for me to have many different system-hogging programs open at all times. Now I can switch back and forth between programs in seconds - an act that used to take minutes.

I honestly would have had to buy a new computer. This was a much, much cheaper alternative. No complaints whatsoever.
