I was very tentative about opening up my shiny iMac and fiddling with anything inside, but am very glad I did. Crucial delivered super-fast, I was able to follow the instructions, and the results are very good.
Having had my iMac for 2 years, it was beginning to slow down due to my vast iPhoto collection, and only 2GB of RAM supplied.
Since I have doubled my RAM, I am so pleased with the performance, that I have bought Adobe CS5 for my son's school work, and it works well.
We have 4 accounts on the one computer, and these now transition smoothly again, as they used to when the computer had less on it.
I am very satisfied.

This has increased the speed of my device by 1.5

I did a speedtest before I installed the 4GB of ram (I previously had 2GB) and my startup time dropped to seconds. Starting photoshop starts 8xfaster now :)

I bought these to upgrade my iMac from 2GB to 4GB. Quick and easy to install (once I got the old ones out, you really have to pull the plastic flap hard to release the installed RAM). They passed all the memory checks from various utility programs and have performed perfectly, giving my iMac an all round performance boost.

Took only one and a half days from order to arrival at my work in Germany.
It took seconds to install into my IMAC, the longest part was closing down the computer and turning it over.
It was such cheap and easy thing to upgrade the speed, applications open even faster now, no more rainbow wheel, for an IMAC which is already fast is good.
So cheap and good that all my work friends here did it aswell.

I've noticed no positive changes since upgrading my C2D iMac 2.8Ghz from it's standard 2 Gig to 4 Gig. In fact the only thing I've noticed is that it takes longer to start up after installation than it did before. Feel like I've wasted time and money to be honest. I'm doing lots of graphics stuff, PS, Corel Painter and like I say, have noticed zilch improvement.

Firstly, i was a bit hesistant about buying an upgrade for my iMac, but i'm so glad i did!

2GB to 4GB is double the memory but to me on applications and software it's so much more versatile and responsive to use than it was previously. I'm a casual gamer, i game here and there, but this RAM upgrade allows me to keep running a Hardware consuming game while running atleast 5 different software packages flawlessly, words cannot describe how great the RAM handles all the software at an excepitonal rate.

What i was also looking for was a boost in performance, but from 2GB to 4GB this obviously didn't happen mainly because it's a boost for reliable performances at a hardware intensive rate. 2GB is enough for any casual PC user truth be told, but if your more than casual about computers, a definate upgrade in RAM should be assured for the elite and light day users!

Improves performance, you can never have enough RAM under OSX, quick delivery, completely compatible, will improve the residual value of you're mac when you come to sell it. Just buy it, you know it makes sense to max out your pride and joy and for [£] its not worth not doing it.

Regularly use Crucial RAM either sourced directly or via a 3rd party, for my PC & Mac upgrades, in this instance it was to take an iMac to 4gb (much cheaper than having Apple do it from new, with the advantage that the 2gb taken out will slot right into my MacBook providing a free upgrade there too!), great price, great RAM, [...] (had one stick replaced in about 8 years, it was a fair few years old).

give it 8 out of 10 considering its only ddr2 and i have tested ddr3
my mac improved speed in general usage but nothing that will knock your socks off
put it this way if i could use 8 off this in my imac i would because then would be a great increase in performance
saying that its always better to have 4gb instead of 2gb :)
my score means very happy with.

Installing this RAM in the new ali iMac was so easy, just a single screw and no removing half the house furniture!

Doubling my RAM has really sped things up with RAM previews in After Effects going up to around 1 min for HD uncompressed footage, just what I wanted.

Initially had a problem with the order but Crucial sorted it out and returned another 2 dimms in a matter of days. absolutely recommended!

FAULTY memory. Return for refund but CRUCIAL did not want to know.

Crucial Response: Customer modified the modules and we were unable to process any returns.
