I upgraded from the 1 GB that came with my iMac (i7) to 4 GB - it makes a big difference when using Photoshop. The crucial scanner told me exactly which RAM I needed. Crucial is an excellent source as well - I was confused by all the different sites out there and one of the IT guys where I work recommended Crucial (it's where they buy their MAC stuff from). I am not disappointed.

My Mac was taking forever to get to a new site when I clicked on a hyperlink. Also, when I was creating a document, I would type five or six characters before they started displaying on the screen - extremely frustrating.

I told a friend about it and he suggested adding more memory (I currently had 1GB). I went to a few computer stores, and the price of a 2GB chip was between $75 and $90. The same friend told me to check out Crucial online. I did,and I bought a 2GB chip from them - for a fraction of the cost the computer stores wanted.

It was easy to install and my Mac is a lot faster now. I will now suggest Crucial online to anyone who wants to upgrade the speed of their PC or Mac.

With the new patches being rolled out for World of Warcraft, I was finding that it was eating up more and more of my RAM to the point that I couldn't have anything else open without a significant issue with performance. Product arrived in a timely manner and on the schedule Crucial published. Installing memory in the iMAC is pretty straight forward - took less than 20 minutes. I am running a 1GB (original) with this 2GB upgrade and have no problems. The Crucial web site said this was an acceptable way to upgrade based on the memory types.

Mac's are notorious for wanting quality stuff installed on them and this memory I bought was definitely good quality. I could see an improvement in performance right-a-way, especially in running multiple applications on my iMac.

This is a great buy because it would have cost me $300 to get the same amount of RAM installed by Apple. I use an iMac with ProPresenter3 software here at my church to multimedia display. I was having issues with loops hanging, so I decided to max out the RAM. Unfortunately this didn't solve the problem, so I'm thinking it's software related. I ran diagnostics and everything seems to be perfect as far as hardware goes. I would recommend Crucial any day!

I am an everyday iMac user mom. I don't do anything fancy other than surf the net, edit photos and download music. I wanted more memory on my new computer. The memory from Crucial was very inexpensive. I have NEVER upgraded memory before. I watched a video and upgraded my RAM in less than an hour. A few weeks ago I would not have believed I could do this so easily. So far, so good. No problems.

I was a little nervous as it was my first time adding additional memory to anything, let alone my prized iMac - I didn't want to screw anything up. But after I received the memory chip (ridiculously fast shipment, by the way) I was put at ease. This is SUPER EASY to install, simply unscrewed, slide it in, screw it back and turn the iMac back on. It IS REALLY JUST THAT EASY! And the speed difference is incredible. I've since added an additional monitor so I can work with more programs at the same time (Photoshop, Aperture, etc.) and I haven't had any delays at all.

Installed this as an upgrade in my iMac Core 2 Duo. The default system configuration is only 1GB of RAM, which may be OK for a single user, but we have three users in the family that are typically signed in concurrently. With applications open on all three desktops, system performance was very slow, especially with graphic intensive programs such as photo editing. This has made a HUGE improvement in system response. Highly recommended.

I took my 2.4GHz aluminum iMac from the stock 1GB to 3GB with a 2GB DIMM from Crucial. Using iMovie more and more these days, I know I've got a bit more "running room" than before, and the machine just feels "perky" (for lack of a better word). The price was great and I'll use Crucial again for my next RAM purchase (and I recommend them to everyone I know).

This was a very easy upgrade and install. It took longer to actually turn the computer off and figure out where I was going to do the actual install, then the actual process itself. Plug and play about sums it up. The apps open faster and respond quicker. I am very happy with the upgrade, and Crucial made it extremely easy and affordable to do so.
