[...] couldn't have been easier to install. Unfortunately for me the 2 slot on my Mac Powerbook G4 is bad (which is a well know issue at Mac but news to me). I took the memory out of slot 1 and put the new crucial memory in to test. It worked great. I then called to see if i could return the memory i had purchased from crucial for a full refund. The gentleman at customer service was very polite and agreed to refund my money once crucial received their memory back. A week or so later crucial emailed me to let me know that they had received my return. The following day my bank account was credited with a full refund. In the near future i intend to by a Mac Pro and i will buy memory from crucial to beef it up. Excellent company and i would recommend them to a friend. A friend who has bought memory from crucial told me about them in the first place.

I use my computer for personal/grad school work and I decided it was time to up the 512mb ram that came in my laptop.... I put two 1gb cards in, they were incredibly easy to install even for me who knows nothing about this kind of stuff. I have noticed that it can handle a lot more stuff at one time which was what I was looking for. It has been reliable up till now and the ordering/processing/[...] was easy and pain free! Would definitely buy from Crucial again...

I ordered two one-gig chips and the difference is phenomenal. They were easy to install (about five minutes including battery removal, opening the back of my Mac, and closing everything back up) and the increase in performance is making all the difference in the world. I use Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design, and Office. The wait time is greatly reduced and productivity has gone way up. I'm completely satisfied with the product. It's like having a brand new Mac.

I installed Mac OS X 10.5.6 in a four year old Powerbook that only had 512MB. It actually booted, but took forever. A check on RAM showed that I only had 17.1MB Free. I ordered 2x1GB modules from Crucial (all the old girl can handle) and now the machine screams considering her age and 1.5GHz processor speeds — the old girl got a face lift and a pace maker!

I upgraded the ram on my Powerbook G4 because I could not run applications such as Apeture. Now I can. The install process was easy, but I did have to look up on Apple's website to learn how to install the memory. I wish the installation instructions came with the ram I purchased. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the performance of the product and the accuracy of the website's recommendation.

Super easy to install ... worked on the first try! (Just follow the instructions in the Apple manual).
I've been waiting literally months for local computer shops to find me RAM (apparently it's difficult to find compatible RAM for this model of Apple laptop), I got fed up with waiting and ordered from Crucial. They made it easy to find the correct RAM with their "Memory Advisor Tool". I had my new RAM upgrade to 2 GB from the original 512 MB within a few days! I couldn't be happier! It's like having a brand new computer! Thanks Crucial!

The best things about ordering from Crucial is that finding the correct memory upgrade was easy. I'll I had to do is enter the model information and processor speed of my Mac. The Crucial web page then made the recommendations of what memory modules would work with my Mac. Because of this I was confidante that I got the correct memory. Unlike other places, you had to know exactly what kind memory module you needed. I wasn't sure if I could use the newer types of memory in my Mac.

I will recommend it to others as well. it starts on the website when searching for the proper part. it could not be any easier. I replaced the original equipment 512 MB RAM in my 15" Aluminum PB G4 laptop with 2 sticks of 1GB Crucial RAM. I saw an immediate HUGE performance jump. Startup times and transfer times from external HD's are likewise much quicker. My only 'complaint' is that this PC2700 RAM is so much more expensive/GB than that for the latest PC2-5300 RAM. Overall, I'm totally satisfied. Installation could not have been easier.

The PB G4 has two RAM slots, one of which apparently is very subject to failure. Replacing the logic board is one way to fix this, which is remarkably expensive if you don't have an extended warranty of some kind. Getting the largest possible RAM module and putting it in the remaining slot is the other way.[...]

Im a crazy Mac user due to being an Illustrator. I needed speed, reliability, and something I could afford. I use Adobe Photoshop for my artwork, and sometimes need more than one or two psd.'s open, and before, my computer would freeze up, or take about 10 minutes just to OPEN a document (I am a PowerBook G4 Laptop user) and would take about 10 minutes just to SAVE....

After installing this item into my Mac (using the directions on another site on how to do it correctly) I found it easier and not as scary as once thought. After loading up my Mac and opening Photoshop, I saw an INSTANT speed increase in my laptop!(no software installation or ANYTHING!) Now with it having 1.5G of RAM memory, I'm ready to keep going with my career, and having this makes production faster, and saving less time consuming.

I was very pleased with the product - I had a little trouble getting it to seat in the memory card slot, but once that was done, there were no problems. My system responds noticeably faster now. If your system is short on memory, I recommend this upgrade.
