Comments about Crucial 512MB Upgrade for a Acer TravelMate 240 Series System:
This was bought to keep an elderly notebook running for a little longer. The memory worked but not with the existing memory that was installed despite information stating that memory didn't have to be installed in matching pairs.
There was a noticable improvement in the performance of the notebook from just the memory increase itself, but that's not surprising considering it only had 256MB to start with.
The memory itself was of excellent quality and I would recommend it, seemed better than the manufacturers installed memory.
