I am not a computer person nor do I want to be. My computer professional told me about Crucial and how to obtain addition memory to help my computer run all the programs I wanted open at once. Now I can have my Outlook, Word, PDF and files open all at once with no slow lagging responses from my server.
Also, I am a recycling nut, so it was nice to know the plastic packaging the memory chip comes in is a #1 plastic so it is makes me feel better that nothing was thrown in the trash.

Had to take my Computer in for service, very slow. I was told I had to many start up programs and I was very low on memory. My old 2003 HP compaq D530 only had 512 I guess back 7 years ago that was fine. I watched the helpful video`s and used the program you down load to see what Crucial suggests that you need. I like that because no way to mess up and get the wrong parts. I took the middle road and bought two 1 GB memory sticks. Just follow there instructions on how to install more memory. I was surprised how easy it was, my small form factor is built so it`s easy to move the thing out of the way to get at the memory slots. Just make sure your grounded first before touching anything inside the case, you can ruin a computer if you don`t. I removed one old memory stick at a time and put a new one in making sure it was installed like the old one just gently push down until you here the click and make sure the locking tabs are seated in the new memory stick ends. I put every thing back, except for the old memory sticks. Crucial suggest that you only use matching memory sticks. I wasn't sure if I should leave the old memory stick in place. But I figured 2 GB of memory is plenty. I was very surprised at how fast my old computer is now. Pages load faster, was well worth the investment, I`m very pleased.

I was thinking about getting rid of my old PC, since I would return to college and would need to be connected on-line with the instructors/professors and to hand out my assingments. Thanks God I found the link of www.crucial.com in one of the texbooks, and worked magically because www.crucial.com analized how much memory I would need to improve this PC. Absolutly perfect! I upgraded to 4- 1GB sticks. After installation (which is a snap) I have 3.71GB of RAM!! Plenty of space for whatever apps or programs. So far function is flawless and the price was amazing.

Works fairly well. Had to mess with some of the timings to get the most out of it. Was very easy to install, as all RAM is. Sadly, 1gb of RAM doesn't do much in the world today, and costs quite a bit for this stick.
