Admit to being surprised and a little disappointed that this card failed after about 18 months (of, to be fair, almost 24*7 on-time).

However even though outside usual warranty period, Crucial allowed me to return the product via an extremely easy click-through from the original order in my account.

I returned the card and rapidly received a replacement free of charge with no questions asked.

Excellent service and support on this the only one of several Crucial purchases to develop a fault.

Firstly, I have no doubts that my Crucial microSD card is anything but a great piece of hardware but using with the O2/Huawei E169 3G/Mobile Broadband USB stick hasn't been a wholly successful experience. On my Ubuntu 8.10 Asus eee PC it's great & recognised every time but not so on my business or home WinXP PCs. I'm confident that's a Windows issue so this more a warning of using the MicroSD slot in the O2/Huawei 3G stick.

One computer I use cannot read this memory when plugged in with the SD card 'extension'. Detected but unreadable, cannot be formatted etc.. Other memories of this type that I own work fine with the same computer.
However a different computer sees it fine. Phone sees it fine. Decided to keep it, but not confident.
Web search shows that this kind of problem is known, resolution is to 'send it back to manufacturer'.
