I bought this for my digital camera having had an almost heart stopping experience on honeymoon with another SD card I'd bought. Luckily the pictures were saved but I knew I had to get a more reliable card. I'd already got two crucial RAM upgrades in my home PC and one at work and they worked flawlessly. I decided I needed the same reliability for my camera. Needless to say, it works so reliably and quickly you forget it is there. The crucial facility to ensure compatibility with my slightly older camera was a Godsend and that guarantee really does put the mind at rest. Then, you remember how outrageously cheap it is for, in my case, about 350 photos! Buy it!

My main use for these 1gb SD Cards (I bought 5) is to record Radio programmes via my Evoke 3 DAB radio, they work faultlessly so far. Next I take the SD from The Evoke and read it into My PC via SD reader, play with the files (from MP2 I remove any excess apart from the programme I wanted, I then save the files as MP3) and return the resulting MP3 files to these SD cards to play in my MP3 player. All these items of equipment recognise the cards each time and work perfectly. I don't know if these cards are suitable for digital cameras (speed wise) but they do everything I bought them for and the price was excellent. 1gb equates to several hours of MP2 Radio so capacity is plenty.

I use this in my Pentax compact digital camera on full quality and minimum compression. Plenty of space for over 200 images and reasonable speed too. It does seem to take longer to write as the card fills up. I don't know if this is an actual effect, or just perception, but I noticed so mention it.
