This drive is absolutely tiny- with 8GB capacity. Everyone is amazed at the small size- has the cuteness of the miniature. Very easy to use and good value- just need to be careful to keep safely as could be lost/ left forgotten in computer very easily as so small.

This tiny product is absolutely amazing. This is my second one and is unlikely to be the last unless they come out with one that is slightly bigger or of greater capacity. More than ample storage on each tiny stick.
But take care not to lose the packaging as it is a very good storage case alternative as the Gizmo is soooooo tiny. Note the repeated warning that it is REALLY TINY !

I bought a 4GB one of these a few years ago and use it for business, I am a consultant moving between several companies a month so moving having an easy way to move files around is essential.

This card very neatly fits in my wallet which I know I always have with me so therefore I always have the essential files I need too.

Fast and reliable (never lost a file in the few years that I've had it) at a very reasonable price.

This new 8GB card is even smaller in physical size (and double the capacity) so I was even more pleased when it arrived.

Well done Crucial for getting such a unique product out there.

This stick comes in a blister pack designed for a 'normal' sized usb stick so theres a lot of space. At first I thought the pack was empty with a security tag inside. I was ready to send it back. Then I realised the security tag WAS the memory stick. Even though small it is very strong and has a hole to hang it on a key ring. The performance is good with no start-up problems. I have several sticks from 250Mb upwards but this is the best.

I was shown this great little thing by a colleague who works professional in IT and couldn't believe it. It's so small that it fits into the wallet (or in my case behind the travelcard). But very endurable indeed, there is no chance to bend it or break it by mistake. The 8 GB are exceptional value for money. None of my former memorysticks ever held that much. I use it for work as well as carrying around private data like photos, music etc. for this price it's the must-have gadget. Shame that I didn't come across it earlier, I could have saved a lot of nerves as well as money.

Took a bit of getting use to when you are using memory sticks. Pity it does not have a cover. But leaving it in all the time gives you ease of copy and paste for backing up work instantly. Very handy gadget that can be transported in the wallet for use on any mchine with a usb port.

Amazingly small and compact. At last a flash drive that sits happily on my key ring.
A bit strange to use first time as it does not have the full standard USB plug but once you work out how to jam it in the USB socket, it works like a dream - excellent.

THis is a great product and I will have to get another one. I lost mine soon after getting it but it was my own fault. It had good data transfer speeds and was really handy. But you do need to be aware of how small it is.

This memory stick defies belief it is so small and 8gb as well !! only downside if having on a keyring is the contacts are exposed so could be prone to damage. If your after something small and light with big capacity then this is definitely for you.

Great image storage capacity - especially for my portable mini laptop. If it doesn't work, you've probably installed it the wrong way up - easy to do as it isn't logical for those of us who are used to seeing the traditional symbol. The contacts must face uppermost - not the Gizmo logo. For its size it's brilliant but you need to take care not to lose it - despite the little hole to attach it to a keyring.

Great piece of kit, I've impressed so many people with it that they want one! You could cu this out of a stick of Wrigley's chewing gum and have about half the gum left over, it is that thick and that small, in size only not capactity. And,....... and,....... and there is 8GB on this tiny thing too!!!! The only bad thing I 'll state is that it is so small you need to attach it to something, I actually misplaced it whilst I was attaching it. Go buy now.............what are you waiting for, you could buying instead of reading this, I've told you once!

Looks & feels really cheap & Nasty. But seems to work quite well. Not as fast as I would have liked and awkward to use! Beware this product is so small and light it will get easily lost unless you tie a lanyard or something similar to it! A slight gust of wind will blow it across the room! Should be bigger and heavier!

They say this Gizmo! Jr. USB stick is the size of a stick of gum. I'd say it's more the size of a chicklet. A couple friends I showed it to commented that it seemed like it came from the future. LOL I noticed a few reviews that described it as flimsy. To me it feels like a piece of sturdy, hard plastic. So far for the few weeks I've owned it, it's been in my wallet with no ill effects.

Other than the lack of a jacket of some sort to protect the leads I'm very happy with it.

When i first got the product i thought there'd be a mistake as it didn't look like your conventional usb portable drive. Its about 1.5 inches in length and about 1cm in width. Its small and portable alright. I had to youtube the product to see what it was at first and couldn't believe my luck.

Its a shame that it didn't come with a protector case as it would have been better to fit on a car keyring as you carry it around.

The drive is tiny and easily misplaced. Moreover there is no cap to keep the contacts in good condition. Mine lasted for around one month before the casing cracked and it ceased to work. If you have any data worth keeping it's best not to store it on this drive.

I couldn't believe USB sticks could get so small. I almost sent it back as the wrong item!! My only worry is that it is very small and the contacts are exposed. I can't image it would last long stuck on a key ring. It would be good if there were a tiny hard plastic sleeve to slip over for mechanical protection. Otherwise - brilliant

Very small and very thin; slightly thicker than a single stick of chewing gum and around half the length.

Upside; very portable and convenient- I can keep it in my wallet permanently. *That* is useful; I don't have to explicitly put it in my pocket every day (and forget to on the days when I inevitably need it!)

Downside; not as easy to use, particularly if you have to insert it into hard-to-reach/see rear USB socket. Design *feels* inherently less sturdy (thin, exposed contacts). Can't really blame Crucial for that- both are inevitable tradeoffs if you want something this thin and portable.

If you plan on using your drive a lot and don't mind something a bit bigger, I'd recommend the ordinary-sized Gizmos. However, for my needs, the Gizmo Jr's advantages outweigh its drawbacks.

This is the size of a large Thumb nail and a little too fragile to add to a key ring. There is no cover for the contacts so would suggest keeping it in a case for protection. However, I use it to back up important files on my laptop and is the ideal,low weight option for any mobile traveller. Suggest you also buy a protective case at the same time of purchase

This is the smallest Flash Drive I have seen.
There is no protective cover for the connecting end and it is so small I am worried about losing it. On the plus side its only 2mm thick and fits easily in my wallet.

I could not believe the compact size vs. capacity on this unit. The downside is not to lose it! Does not come with any holder / cover or lanyard, but has a small hole to attach a lanyard, so recommend you do that. I cut out part of the plastic packaging to use as a cover over the data contacts, just to be on the safe side. A slip on cover would be better!

The capacity is great (8 GB), I can copy (back-up) all of my company files before going abroad, and I have this USB flash drive on my keyring.

This device works fine. The only problem is, I specifically bought it as I wanted it to be my only disk on a linux box. To do this, means making the drive bootable as a Fixed HDD in the bios. Having experimented with another smaller USB drive, I found that the lexar bootit.exe utility does this for the Gizmo's senior brother, allowing one to change the Removable Media Bit (RMB) on the device. It does not however, appear to work for the Gizmo Jr, as the drive always appears as a removable disk, even after running the bit flip utility. I'm going to buy the physically larger version (Gizmo non Jr) and try it out on that.

Asside from this, the stick is fine, my only gripe is that because it does not have a full USB connector on it, it is possible to insert it upside-down into the PC, in a way which means it doesn't work. The typical procedure becomes:
-plug in stick
-wait a few seconds for winXP to do something
-nothing happens
-grovel on floor
-examine usb stick
-examine usb port on PC
-identify the four pads on the usb stick
-identify the four pins on the usb port
-insert stick correctly, lining them up
-look back at screen
-sit back on chair
-think that it hasn't worked again
-get out of chair to start grovelling again
-windows XP does something
-sit back on chair

I'd suggest that unless you really need a stick this small, go for the physically bigger version. Certainly avoid this if you have sight problems.

I wanted ultra lightweight USB Storage that was totally reliable and could retain all of my primary business files that allowed me to back-up duplicates on my Desktop, my Laptop and a Netbook.

The Crucial 8GB Flash Drive ticks all of the boxes.

I previously bought a Crucial 2GB Flash Drive which has performed excellently taking 2 years hard daily use, so I am totally confident that the Crucial 8GB Flash Drive will serve me well.

I've only had this USB memory key for a few weeks but it's great. You can carry it around everywhere, i keep it in my wallet and you barely even notice it's there. It's great for sharing photo's with friends. The only drawback is also an advantage. It's so small which makes it portable but it also makes it easier to lose.
Altogether, i think this is a great buy.

I almost sent this back. I thought it was the security tag inside an empty packet! Flash drives cannot get smaller than this - the size of a USB socket and just long enough to be easy to disconnect. File transfer is a little faster than average and 8GB (just over [$] per GB) is enough to hold all the troubleshooting utilities I need, including antivirus and web browser. In fact it is big enough for a complete operating system.

Reasonable price/performance is reasonable, though nothing special, is overshadowed by being too small for everyday use, its the size of a fingernail. If you were to put it in your jeans pocket, you'd loose it. I carry mine in a pocket inside my wallet and the plastic has already cracked after 2 weeks. I'm tempted to glue it to something so it wont get lost!

I bought an 8gb Gizmo Jr and have been almost completely happy with it. [...] Transfer speeds are good and the capacity suits me - I had a 16gb flashdrive before (made by another manufacturer) and apart from the fact it broke, backing it up or transfering a large ammounts of data took an age. The size is wonderful as it is far less likely than standard-sized usb sticks to get knocked by feet or knees on floor-standing PCs.
Turned out to be quite a talking point.
However, the plastic around the hole is far too flimsy and snaps despite gentle treatment and no knocks - only realised mine had when I looked down and saw it wasn't on the end of the lanyard anymore, prompting a long search around the floor of the hospital...

The gizmo Jr looks cool but due to it's poor construction and wrong material it broke in less than two weeks on my keychain. If you attach it to something it will brake, if you keep it loose you will miss place it. It needs to be made in metal.

It could hardly be smaller. However, theres no LED to show that it's working and I think it should have been provided with some sort of case or terminal protector as the terminals are exposed. However generally I'm delighted.

This is a tiny thing but holds 8 Gb of easy to use USB memory (in Linux, Vista and XP its worked fast and fine so far). Before it was slotted onto my keyring I nearly lost it 3 times in one day. It is so small and light seems strange it holds so much data. Join the Lilliput world, I use it with my tiny netbook, and a super mini mouse!

It wasn't totally clear in the pics that this memory stick had exposed connections; to the extent that it is simply a PCB that you plug into the USB socket. There is no housing, so you can attempt to accidentally plug it in upside-down even more easily than a normal cased USB memory stick. On the plus side, it is tiny, capacious and very handy on a keyring.
