Recently I upgraded my 1998 MacBook to Snow Leopard, and found to my chagrin that it was barely able to run 3 programs at once (say, Mail, Word and Safari) without slowing to a halt. Since the upgrade to 4Gb, I haven't had any speed issues. I now regularly run many applications (Word, Mail, Safari with numerous tabs, Tweet Deck, Dictionary, Excel, Acrobat Reader, &c &c) at once, and life is actually a bit more painless. Definitely worth the £70 or so.

Macbook 2Ghz Core 2 Duo previously had 1GB Ram stock. Running so much faster with this upgrade 4GB kit. Apps switching, log in time,boot,web browsing so much faster.

This was a long overdue upgrade. Wish I did it a lot sooner

My Mac is on the go 10 hours a day with multiple applications open.
Although I can't say that it was particularly troublesome before, now that I have added the 4GB memory it has made a big difference in the speed applications like Numbers & Gimp open up. Almost instantly now.
Seems there is a big difference between 1GB and 4GB!
Highly recommended.

Requires a firm push but Apple has designed the MacBook for easy upgrade - computer opened up, upgraded and closed again in less than 10 minutes.
