this desktop is 5years old with low ram installed, following the guide for installation was clear and simple . I now have a computer that works like a new one, that is able to carry out more than one task at a time

My PC was hanging and freezing badly. After trying various registry cleaners, defrags and all sorts, I discovered a lack of RAM was my problem. Crucial's website made it easy to find the correct RAM for my PC and the price was good. I bought one and fitted it within a minute or so. I only wish that I had bought two together as it was only after fitting the new RAM that I read that if using more than one card that they both must be the same. I ordered a second. [...]

Both of my pc's are only fitted with 512mB of RAM and were painfully slow. Using Crucial's excellent scanner, I purchased enough memory to upgrade both pc's and I am startled at what difference this memory has made. It was easy to install and was recognised as soon as I turned the machine back on. Excellent!

Crucial scanner indicated that the motherboard in my PC could take a further 1.5GB however when I installed the 1GB module the PC showed that the capacity of the motherboard in total was only 1GB. It appears that I have purchased 512MB unnecessarily on the advice of your scanner.
