I owned an Acer 5630 which came with just 1gb of ram (2x512mb) so i decided on buying 2x2gb after running crucials scan, what a joy it is to turn on my laptop, instead of the 8-10 minutes it took to load all the start up programmes, its now 2 at the most. The ram itself is so easy to install, just watch the video clip

My Acer 5630 came installed with 1Gb memory and Vista. It has always run slowly, although there was a slight improvement with Vista service pack 1. After installing the 4Gb memory, applications load instantly and antivirus / ad-aware scans complete in half the time, even when there are other applications running. Well worth the cost!

My laptop was creaking at the seams with vista. Booting up took ages and swapping between apps would freeze. I went from 1gb to the 4gb max on my laptop and now it flies! Boots are faster, apps load faster and don't freeze and for the first time ever AVG virus scanner completes. RAM upgrades always give the best return. I've basically spent [$] for a new machine. :)
