Straightforward install , hardest part was removing original chip which was wedged tight. Advise using a wrist strap for peace of mind

Casual user of a MacBook 2.0 & a MacBook Pro 2.16. After installation of Snow Leopard both of them got very slow with the beach ball showing every now and then. After upgrading the memory, thinks got back to normal.
Apple suggests at least 2gb of RAM for SL (it can go on with 1 only though) but ideally SL works with 4 as they informed me (should you require video editing, or multitasking).

I strongly suggest proceed with the Crucial upgrades. Great service (had a problem with my order and contact them and resolved the matter very quickly), the scanner and the FAQ make me understood a lot about RAM.

Installed in about 5 minutes without any problems. Just need to take the battery out and remove 3 screws. Machine started up again just as before and showed 2GB in 'About this 'Mac'.

No dramatic change in performance but it seems not now to get bogged down switching between big applications such as Photoshop and After Effects.
