My Toshiba Satellite Pro L40 Series floundered so much on its pre-installed 512MB that it was almost unusable. The new chip was easy to install and instantly cut my load times to around one sixth or, in some cases, less. My one regret is that I didn't replace the chip a year ago. I was so happy I almost immediately went about partnering the new chip to another equal density one for another performance boost, though the next upgrade was less of a drastic improvement, and helping friends and family with their similar systems in desperate need of upgrades.
