I am a casual user and found it was just getting a little slow in its old age. the IT dept at my work said to try crucial. I have doubled my speed and found it very easy to install. In fact i spent longer figuring out how to get the side panel off than i did installing the new memory, about 20 mins, 15 getting the side panel off.

Had 256 MB in a Dell Dimension 2400 running painfully slowly. Installed two 512MB RAM units, much quicker performance. Far cheaper than buying a new computer! (Also changing from IE8 to Firefox speeded up internet even more).

I installed 2x512 sticks in my fathers' machine which had the standard 128Mb which was not sufficient for the OS. There was a dramatic increase in speed and performance so much so that instead of him waiting on the computer it is now faster than him.

I was intending to buy a new machine as my Dell Dimension 2400 was running so slow with 256MB RAM it was becoming unusable. I decided to try a Memory upgrade first and purchased 1GB RAM (2 x 512MB) - the improvement in performance is dramatic, it's like having a new machine, and I certainly have no need to replace my Dell now !
