Install was super, super easy. It was my first time upgrading memory so I was apprehensive but it only took 10 minutes and I know next time I could do it in 5.

I typically have 10-12 applications open in 9 spaces, with my web browser and RSS reader always having multiple tabs. Needless to say the previous 2GB wasn't holding up well and my slow hard disk didn't help either.

This inexpensive, 4GB upgrade allowed me to easily keep everything open with FAR fewer 'beachballs of death' and crashes in the browser. The increase has also taken the load off my hard disk which is being accessed far less often now. This has led to a slight increase in battery life I think, but it's nothing to shout about.

In all, if you're computer is struggling on it's 2GB I'm sure this inexpensive upgrade will help out. Crucial is a well respected brand and their memory is high quality.

I made the shift from iPhoto to Aperture on my unibody aluminium MacBook and after importing some 7,000 Nikon RAWs it was running like a dog. While the RAM upgrade won't speed the load time on an older Mac like mine it has made a huge difference to performance once a large application like Aperture has loaded and it allows me to switch between other apps as well without my system dieing as it swaps data backward and forward to disk. Highly recommended.

i bought 4GB ram to increase my macbook performance, i usually use five programs or more at the same time the new memory help me to achieve that

in general better speed for example shutting down and power it on, the widgets show up faster and iphoto pic load faster etc...

things that aren't so great about it i expected much better performance for 4GB gave me, i'm not saying that it didn't change my mac performance but when i compared my mac with other mac which have also 4GB ram with different company i found out that theirs is better but in barely noticeable difference.

This was a cheap upgrade which brought my MacBook up to full RAM capacity. Speed has been increased but do not expect anything too dramatic. Replacing the existing 2 x 1Gb Ram was easy and anybody with reasonable DIY skills can do it.

The ONLY fault that can be classed as a fault is with my own installation process so nothing to do with the product, first time I've ever tried doing something like this on my own. It was a little tricky but eventually got done.
After I installed it I checked the settings and everything was in place OK. I'm a uni student and this was really an essential upgrade and was definitely worth the price! Would highly recommend, works fine, fast, a need for anyone using computers a lot!

Bought a basic Macbook really just to travel around with but found it so comfortable I ended up using it as my main work machine. 2GB of RAM runs out of breath a bit so just wanted to beef it up. This is perfect.

Needed more RAM for my Macbook and looked on apples site and was [$].. for RAM what a joke! Check crucial[$].. so bought it from crucial. Installed it and work fine. Not a speed boost but can run apps with a slow down. So recommend this if you have the standard 2gig ram and want 4gig with the apple tax.

I just couldnt get enough of it, once i put it in. It slipped in so easily, nice and tight in the slot, a brilliant fit. The power, it thrusted my system along and gave me a real thrill.

Fitted that into my shiny new Apple MacBook - it was cheaper to buy the 2GB version and buy 4GB from Crucial rather than buying the 4GB version!

Follow the instructions from Apple closely and you won't go wrong - plus your applications will thank you too! I run VMware Fusion so it makes a big difference for me.
