I always buy memory from Crucial as they are always my first port of call particularly for laptop upgrades.

I opened the laptop, inserted the memory and booted up. As expected - no memory errors, recognised immediately by BIOS and operating system booted straight up.

Upgrading the memory from 1MB to 2MB has given my ageing laptop a new lease of life. Everything runs faster and smoother including the internet and I've not had a single problem.

The extra RAM has boosted just about all the aspects of using my machine from booting up to logging off. these used to take several minutes now they are done in about 40 seconds. Easily installed by removing the screws on the base of the laptop and just slotted the module into the spare slot.
