The old system memory of 512meg was becoming just too slow. The sales team provided a double or quadruple upgrade option and provided the relevant web page links in an email. I decided to go for the latter 2 gig option. Payment and odering was easy. Communication was good, [...] The old 512 Dimm was removed and the two new ones put in the two available slots. A 5 min job; then up and running with no problems, and a noticable improvement in performance.

I followed the online checker provided by Crucial and selected the recommended product. Unfortunately it did not fit.
Called Crucial spoke to a helpful person who correctly identified the correct memory chips for my aging Evesham computer. I ordered the replacement and had it the following day. They fitted perfectly.
The others I returned and had a credit back onto my card by the end of the month.

I consulted with a friend comuter nurd about the whole business and he recommended these people and it's looking like he was right to do so. Installed two 1gb cards and although I have had some start-up problems since installing I am not sure what is causing the problem.

Our Mac was getting slower and slower as time went on. Got to the point where I was considering a new machine. Finally realised that I hadn't added RAM as my apps had got larger eg 2000 photos in iPhoto was taking an eternity to open. Put in 2Gb of RAM and it's like a new Mac! So fast again. Just ordering another 2Gb to set us up for the future.

Crucial ran a diagnostic on my machine, advised me as to what my options were to improve the performance. As a complete novice I was nervous about buying the wrong product and installing it correctly, however the support team were really helpful answered all my questions quickly and clearly. I can't beleive the difference this has made to my machine it now works so much faster.

Memory either works or it doesn't - however Crucial told me my computer had three memory slots - it only has two. Also it did not advise on the memory my computer can take which being fairly old is limited to 1 gig. so,on fitting 1 gig next to a 256mb caused it to crash on several occaisions. Obviously the 256mb was holding back the 1Gig memory. Removing the 256 module has cured it but only afer a week of grief.

I bought this for my friend's PC. She'd just set up Broadband connection, but PC running so terribly slow. She had minimal RAM. I took out the RAM board and saw Crucial's name on it. Looked up the website. Very helpful in giving me options to increase the RAM. I put in the new 1 Gig of RAM myself (woman) - very easy. Made a big difference. Would recommend Crucial.

Made a decent improvement to the general speed of OS. Took a few tries to get the RAM in the right sequence - had to dig out the manual, but once in the right slots no problem. Easy and cheap upgrade that will keep my ageing PowerMac useful for a while longer.

A friends old PC came with 256 MB of RAM!! Perforamnce was very slow. Since installing an additional 1GB of RAM the difference is unbelievable. Highly recommend and easy to install.

Added life to and old PC which previously had only 500mb of memory. The machine ground to a halt when the virus checked kicked in and regularly used 100% of memory capacity plus a lot more virtual memory. Adding 2gb of additional memory solved all that and web surfing, photo editing etc is improved. Machine is however slower to boot up. Installation was a bit tricky owing to the location of the slots but that wasn't crucial's problem. Machine recognised new memory with no problems and the memory chooser wizard on the website was great.

Was the first time I had opened up a PC and played about with the cards. Easy to follow instructions.
Had an obvious benefit straight away; couldnt believe how easy it was to install despite having found that the internal wiring from a high end pc of a reputable manufacturer loooked a bit 'ropey' i.e. untidy and the ribbon wiring strip had to be moved aside to allow me access for the Crucial memory I ordered.

I have used Crucial many times on other peoples PC's, with excelent results. This time the scan failed in detecting the number of available slots correctly , and the recomended memory was not compatable with the existing memory so I had to remove that.
I would still recommend Crucial though.

Very easy to install - process took 5 minutes and everything worked first time. However, no really noticeable performance increase, but maybe that's because my graphics card is also getting on a bit. I'm sure the extra memory is doing sterling work behind the scenes!

Yeah, well OK I could probably scour the net and get the memory chips a little bit cheaper but with these guys you run their little analysis program, it tells you what you need, you pay for it,[...] you put the chips in and they work as they are guaranteed to. No worries about buying the wrong chips! It's so easy & there is nothing to want as an improvement.I am a repeat customer & have recommended to others.If you want to upgrade your computer memory, go for it!!

Bought this additional memory following installation of Office 2007. Has improved opening of Outlook and PC is running smoothly. I am now set to upgrade to Vista at some point in the future.
Glad to see the cost of the memory has fallen to about half of what it was 2 years ago but would like to see it cheaper still.

Installation wasn't quite straightforward. First time Windows had to go into 'safe' mode to boot up/recognise memory(?). Then all was fine for a few days, until Windows wouldn't boot up at all, even though the memory was recognised on the initial command lines. Swapped old memory back in and all was well for a few days ... then Windows wouldn't boot up. Put new memory back in and all has been fine again. It must be that the seating wasn't spot on, even though all the clips were down etc. and the memory was seen on the command lines at boot-up.

Not much to say about the product - it's memory, it works! Haven't noticed a huge improvment over my 1GB, but then I haven't pushed my PC a lot yet.
I did have a little difficult installing it, but only due to the location of the slots and my video card. A couple of attempts and away we went.

Usual great quality product from Crucial. The Crucial System Checker said my PC had three slots, but I didn't check and it only had two. Had the system checker been more accurate I would have bought a 2GB unit instead. My screw-up really. Crucial units always reliable and I think I have only ever returned one memory unit in 20 years of regular purchasing.

I had a little trouble installing the module - it seemed a little too large for the slot initially, but eventually fitted. It works perfectly and I have seen a significant increase in performance.
Also I found the memory and motherboard detecting software to be very useful and easy to use.

This is the second time I have dealt with Crucial in the past 18 months. The online computer scan which told me precisely what memory upgrade was needed was superb. UpGrading my sons cmptr, The Crucial system checker indicated that there were 4 slots, but on removing the case there were only 2, just as well I only ordered 2 pcs, I feel that the checker can be excused, as there were indications that the Motherboard could have had 4 slots, but two of them were solder blanked.This is not the first time I have purchased ram from crucial, as I have always found it OK, [...]

its simple its memory you plug it in and things start working a lot quicker and a lot easierdid the guy that sold you your computer tell you that Windows XP works on 500mb of memory...they all do in order to get the computer sold...well he wasn't lying up to a point. once you start putting all your stuff in it just gets too slow, solution, for as little as [£] most of your problems will disappear with some added memory

Having decided that we needed more RAM when we logged onto Crucial's website I was amazed that it was able to check my PC, check the type or existing RAM and recommmend the upgrades, so simple! All I had to do was decide the size of upgrade and pay. Done, it was deleivered fast and just cliped into place. So far no probs

I first bought a memory upgrade for my PC and after fitting it there was a vast improvement in speed. I then purchased 2 X 1GB for my laptop and once again there was a sicnificant increase in speed.
