This thing is so easy to fit , I am a total novice and installed this upgrade with a screw driver out of an xmas cracker its that easy , Dont be fooled by the shops buy charging to do "very hard upgrade" buy one from here and do it yourself.

I upgraded from 1GB to 4GB on my laptop. Windows XP 32bit recognises only 3GB but this is 3 times more than I had before. I plan to upgrade the OS to Windows 7 64bit, so all 4GB will be recognised. Great!

Used this for a Mini Note HP 2133 (Netbook) with Linux, but actually had bought it for my main Acer 5100 series laptop. It works well, no performance gain, as I have Linux on my netbook I'm told, which I hope to erase and put Win XP or Vista on there (legal copy of course). All in all I'm happy, a successful first RAM upgrade on a cheap netbook. [...] the installation leaflet is also good for complete novices too. Long may the RAM last! Why not 5 Stars...no performance gain (yet). Hopeful a Windoes OS will deliver this.
