Due to laptop not having spare memory slots, had to remove 256Mb stick to add the 512Mb stick. Have done this twice now, giving a total of 1Gb memory. I have not noticed any dramatic increase in performance, but maybe programmes open slightly quicker.
Also swapped processor from 1.6GHz, to the max possible in this machine of 2GHz, but again no noticeable increase in performance.
Need to accept a 6yr old machine is not going to break any records!

What was best was that the scan and automated selection of memory took away all the "will it, won't it?" concern about buying new components for a computer. And the instructions were perfect.

Wish I had purchased this product sooner. It boosted my computers performance considerably, allowing me to open and run multiple media programs simultaneously without any delays. A very simple installation which only took me five minutes. Now I have more than enough memory to keep me happy!
