Despite having the desired effect of boosting the performance of a Tosh L20 laptop the 1GB module is high density and incompatible with the low density 256MB one that was base. As a result the 1GB is seen but the original 256MB is not so effectively I have only gained 768MB not 1GB. There was no option for a low density module offered nor any warning that density could be an issue so not quite so hot this time from the usually excellent Crucial compatibility engine.

Before I changed the Memory, waiting for the laptop to warm up there was time to make the bed, have a cuppa ..... and get through quite a bit of 'War and Peace'. Now, housework is ignored and there's a thin film of dust on the book.

Quick and efficient service from crucial.com. No problems experienced with installing. For a light user this upgrade suited me for what I wanted out of my computer. May not be fast enough for those wishing to download vast amounts of info at a high speed.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Made my laptop faster and can now handle multiple applications running at the same time. Price was great as well. Very very very happy with purchase. I will be getting an extra 1Gb soon(not that i need it) Crusial have created a monster lol.
