Comments about Crucial 512MB, 168-pin DIMM, SDRAM, PC133,:

I upgraded a very old machine from .75GB to 1.5GB being the largest available at the point of purchase and the number of slot available. Having installed the new memory, the difference was noticable from power up - every aspect of use appeared smoother, extending the life of the computer pending a complete upgrade. Well Done Crucial

Works fine, makes my Linux PC go faster.

The Crucial tool for working out what memory is needed does not work for Linux, which made it much harder to work out the correct type of RAM.

Comments about Crucial 512MB, 168-pin DIMM, SDRAM, PC133,:

Either memory card will function alone and either will function in combination with a 128Meg part in any slot combination, so despite Crucial memory check software on the motherboard, we are stuck with 5/8 Gig instead of 1 Gig. An expensive mistake. At least we tried just one machine first

It seems the Crucial 'memory-test' program does not check the motherboard properly and recommends more than the board can use.
