Totally revamped my aging Acer TravelMate 240. It can run more than one program at a time now! Made a bigger difference than I was expecting. Really pleased as I was unsure about spending money on an old machine but it was worth every penny.

I bought the memory to increase the speed of my laptop after having an on-line appraisal done by Crucial. Basically, I am pleased with the result of adding more memory but I have to say that the increase in speed/perfromance is not as great as the appraisal led me to expect.

A huge selling-point is the "auto scan", that tells you exactly what memory your system possesses, and reccommends various upgrade options. This eliminates any compatibility doubts, and also makes it very easy to check that you have installed the RAM correctly. I am 60 years old, admittedly with some background in electronics, but have upgraded two desktops and one laptop, in a few minutes each, with no problems whatever. I didn't even have to call on the computer nerds in my family!
