In the past I have bought RAM modules from other suppliers, and it is hit and miss. At best the supplier excepts the RAM back if it is unsuitable and replaces it. Crucial have been very reliable and have supplied me with the right module for my system.

Easy to install, once in and laptop powered back up, ram was recognized instantly. Laptop being upgraded is 9 years old and only had 256mb of ram so this 2gb has given it a huge performance leap, customer was extremly happen she didn't have to buy a new laptop!

After installing the ram my laptop performed much quicker but would get the blue screen of death and crash after going on the internet for a short while. Crucial advised me to update the bios and change the page file settings but my laptop continued to crash with the new ram installed. So a waste of money.
