Once I found detailed instructions on the web complete with photos, I decided this RAM upgrade was worth fitting. Its clearly nothing like fitting memory to a desktop but with a bit of application, it was worth the effort. If you are at all put off by the innards of a standard desktop PC then its probably not for you, however the end result means that apps like iphoto and imovie improve significantly. Its also worth loading a little know apple utility called 'Activity Monitor' which can be minimised [but left running]. This can show you graphically how much of your system RAM is being used.

As expected, doubling the mem to 2 GIG in a MAC Mini, brought back the sparkle. MAC is used as a media centre, music, video, iplayer, internet.

I found the iFixit.com teardown/installation instructions most useful in completing the installation, the apple and Crcial details were incomplete.
