After easy install, have noticed a definite increase in speed on 5year old dell inspiron 9100 still running win xp sp3. Feels like a new kid on the block. Should now have enough go, to run windows 7 when I eventually upgrade. Good buy all round.

Good website for the correct memory selection for my laptop, but the memory install instructions were bettered by those on the Dell website. Memory installed without any problems, BIOS recognised the change, and has worked well since, enabling my anti-virus & anti-spyware to operate without delays. I did not find it necessary to use the high-priced screwdriver.
