Excellent purchase. Although installing requires removing the keyboard on an inspiron 1520, its actually a very straightforward procedure and dell offers a service manual online to help you. I'd recommend you print this off before installing the memory. The procedure took about 10 minutes and when I powered up the laptop the memory worked straight away.Windows loaded quicker, and games and applications also loaded quicker. However with 4GB of memory one can totally disable windows swap file so the computer only needs to access your programs and not two parts of hard drive (progs and swap) at the same time. Net result is its twice as fast.I can run flight simulator X for instance and there'll still be over a GB of free physical memory to play around with!On the downside it only seems to run at 667MHZ on this computer rather than the 800MHZ advertised but I suspect this can be sorted with a bios upgrade.I haven't bothered as at 667MHZ the RAM runs great and the PC is extremely quick.[...]Crucial memory is reliable, easy to install, and good value. Plus you can be sure it will work in your system thanks to online system checker before you buy.
