I used the Memory upgrrade tool to identify the best upgrade for an unmarked VIAO Laptop - the tool correctly identified the right memory and the units work as expected. [...] the service has been 1st class. in fact i cant recall an online supplier were things have run this smoothly. hence I felt that i should write this review to let you know that the memory identification tool and Crucial are a service i now trust. The laptop that this was bought for was taking longer and longer to boot and also to load programs such as email, browser and Microsoft office programs. It also hung and would not take any input. All in all very frustrating. Just adding this memory module cured all these problems and now there is no holding the machine back. May well get another strip to see if it will go past Mach 1

I now use multiple windows openings, do more than several tasks,going from one to another, never having to close down some because of the problem with speed. So simple to install. I have peace of mind with the warranty from a leading supplier. Should have added this a long time ago.

Very simple upgrade, the memory is behind a trapdoor on the laptop, I removed one of the older 256 sticks, and replaced it with the 512mb one, closed the door, turned it on et voila.. upgrade completed!
