My model was not in downloaded software list, therefore contacted Crucial who advised me an additional 1G memory card could be fitted to one of 4 slots. I Opened up net book to discover one slot. Consequently I ordered 2G memory for the only available slot. However, the memory was cheaper than most others, [...] and straight forward to install. Slightly enhanced performance. Don't know what to do with spare IG memory though?

Crucial made it so easy to find out what memory upgrade my pink HP Mini could support using the memory advisor tool. The instructions on how to install were also relatively easy. I had to look in the HP manual to figure out where the memory was located and I struggled to find a screwdriver that would fit. But otherwise not very difficult. I would definitively recommend ordering an upgrade from Crucial to anyone with an HP Mini.

Bought this module to give a boost to the minimal 1Gb that is usually installed by default in the Netbook specs!
I bought a HP Mini210 Model 1011ea for my wife.There are a whole load of variations on the Mini 210 models ...but I can assure anyone who buys one of the 1011ea series..that the 2Gb reviewed here is an excellent "booster" for the HP Netbook mentioned.The Crucial Customer service team is excellent and their support is first rate as I found when I had to raise an RMA to change my order to the PC2- 6400 module!
Quick handling of the RMA and prompt return of my amended order was first class ...Cannot recommend the Crucial service highly enough..Brilliant service all round...Thanks Crucial !!!!

Not only was the memory easy to find (compatibility these days is a bit of a minefield) but the upgrade was sensibly priced, rapidly mailed out and has been aggressively tested ever since. I use Ableton 8 music production software on a Toshiba laptop and reliable memory is crucial. Pun intended.
The upgrade now allows me to use the necessary plugins for live DJ shows, controlling lighting and checking my mail (if I ever need to) at the same time.

My laptop came with 2GB memory which isn't much nowadays so I installed another 2GB as 4GB is the max it can take. However I don't really notice any difference in performance and Windows 7 still hangs temporarily showing a "not responding" message while it deals with some routine tasks so maybe it was already optimized with existing memory.

Tosh laptop with 1Gb running Vista was virtually unusable - took ages to boot up and even longer to start applications. Adding this 2Gig module to increase to 3Gig was an absolute doddle to install and the improvement in performance it truly staggering. The laptop is now usable !! Decided to 'max out' the memory on my new Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop. As it was supplied with 64-bit Windows 7, it made sense to add a further 2GB module to bring the total memory up to 4GB.

Crucial memory has always been good quality, and has traditionally been my first choice 'after-market' brand.

Although the 'Memory Selector' tool on the website hasn't yet been updated for this new machine, I was able to identify the correct DDR2 SODIMM module, fit it within seconds, and enjoy a further boost for my karaoke playback software!

Excellent stuff.

The 2GB card is not compatible with the Lenovo S12. It has an Intel Atom N270 chip which can ONLY address a maximum of 2GB, but 1GB is hard soldered onto the motherboard and not replaceable. If you put a 2GB card into the additional memory slot the computer will freeze.

ONLY order the 1 GB chip to upgrade the Lenovo S12.

Having said that, Crucial were excellent about exchanging the 2GB for a 1GB card.

I had bought a new iMac which came with 1gb. I am installing quite a bit of software so I wanted extra ram. To be fair, the guy in the Mac shop told me an extra 1gb in store would cost about [£], and that he used Crucial. He even showed me the website - in the shop - and what exactly I needed.[...]t was very easy to install, and though I was a bit nervous, luckily Crucial sent instructions which were very reassuring while I added the ram - which only took 5 minutes, and 3 of those minutes was me starring at the computer!I cannot express how happy I am. I recently started using VMWare images and performance was appalling. This degradation also seemed to be spreading to other applications.
I was advised to upgrade the memory a couple of months ago, but kept putting it off because "I do software, not hardware!"
This was so easy to install and the performance of my machine is now so much better, so why did I put this off for so long? And I've recouped the cost in terms of my time saved already.

I chose the faster memory to improve the potential functioninig of the MSI Wind U100. I had to disable the onboard memory in the Bios which was easy, then install the new memory module and reboot. Combined with a solid state hard drive this little webook is an absolute Wizzz. Great fun.

The memory upgrade was easy, I used Crucial's own system scanner to determine what I needed and ordered it. The difference to my laptop is significant, I was running Vista with 1Gb which was slower than I would have liked and with 4Gb it is much better.

Execellent product, I've installed 2 of these 2Gb modules into my Dell Vostro 1500 running Windows Vista, the modules work well, I've noticed a considerable increase in running speed! Bootup times faster and game loading time has also improved! Note - 2Gb just isn't enough nowadays!

Despite it being listed as not being picked up by my HP Pavilion dv2699ea laptop ; the 4GB was recognised by the BIOS as 4GB and Windows Vista 32bit as 3GB.

I use VMs, Eclipse, large application servers etc on my machine and it helped a lot.

I've not done any speed tests etc as I find them irrelevant - at the end of the day I need to feel the PC is running faster; with more RAM that's certainly true (even a 2GB->3GB upgrade)

Just bought the Imac with 2 meg ,so thought I would max it out with 4 Meg. i bought the 2x 2meg sticks from Crucial and fitted them myself . It took about 3 mins . It just is so easy .The Imac is working superbly also.
