Picked up a pair of new memory modules (2x1GB) for my wife's old HP Compaq nc6120 laptop that was running XP on 512MB of RAM. As expected, with 2GB to play with new life with breathed into it and Office, Firefox, etc. all now run at a far more respectable speed. Much cheaper than buying a new machine.

Small point worth noting, the Compaq splits the two memory modules across two different internal locations which took a bit of Google'ing to work out. One is accessed from the bottom of the laptop, the other you get at by taking the keyboard out from above.

Seems really to have speeded up my computer! Difficult to install, not because of the product, but because one of the two memory slots in the HP Compaq nc6120 notebook is under the keyboard. That's right, you have to take out the keyboard to install a second memory upgrade.
