Even with a 64-bit operating system, my Dell M1710 can only use 3.25 GB of the memory. Of course this is not a fault of the memory but is a limitation of the Intel 945PM chipset. As I already had 2 GB, I basically ended up paying [$] for an extra 1.25 GB, which is not great value.

Had a problem with WorldOfWarcraft pagefaulting badly causing load times to be rather long. It was using 1.2Gb of physical memory.
I bought these to replace the pair of 1Gb PC5400 SODIMMs currently in my PC (Dell XPS1710).
Dead easy to install. Memory now 4Gb (in Windows XP pro 3.5Gb).

i was looking for some memory to upgrade my laptop and i found the crucial memory was the cheapest i could find. since i have installed the memory the laptop is alot faster and runs alot smoother A* will use again.

easy to install to no problems and cons.
