I'm not a particularly knowledgable user when it comes to RAM, however, I knew that I wanted to be able to handle more desktop programs at once now that I'm more accustomed to using my iMac.

I can confirm that I have noticed a marked improvement since quadrupling the memory capacity when running my usual apps, Safari, Mail, Skype, iWork document at the same time as my iPhoto library. The library is huge and seems to run better while my machine allows me to still flick to my other work areas in a more solid manner than before.

I was quite nervous about taking a screw driver to my mac but after a long time I decided to go for it and I was surprised at how easy it was. There are loads of vids on youtube if you need to know more, but this is a really easy way to beef up your mac. All I needed to do was undo 1 screw, remove the cover, slide in the RAM and replace cover. Mac is now running like a dream. If you are thinking of doing the same, do it. You wont regret it. Best [£] I have spent in a long time.
