I use my macbook for recording and sampling and recently added an extra gig to improve the performance of some of the bigger programs, EWQL symphonic orchestra mainly as the performance was not 100%. It is still not at it's best but it has improved it a great deal. I will be upgrading to snow leopard soon so hopefully that will push the performance up a bit too. Very pleased overall.

Easy to install to double existing RAM. Mac now runs multiple applications much better, especially Windows under VMWare Fusion.
