Significant performance boost to my intel iMac (1GB RAM increased to 3GB) especially loading programmes, working with iTunes or iPhoto and with multiple desktop applications. A cheap easy and highly recommended upgrade for an old iMac that was getting a bit too slow

I upgraded from 2GB to 3GB and haven't noticed much improvement in the handling and render times of HD footage in FCP. I'm not expecting miracles but playback is very choppy and the programme response is very slow. My Mac Mini has 4GB and the improvement in response with that machine is very noticeable.
