I needed a RAM upgrade (1Gb -> 2Gb) for two Vista desktops in the office, and chose this kit because it was slightly cheaper than buying two 1Gb modules separately.

The machines were decent budget desktops when they were bought, but after two years of Vista updates they slowed to a crawl even during basic use. Doubling the memory made the systems much more responsive, and able to handle multiple applications smoothly.

Upgraded from 2gb to 4gb using matched pair of 1gb RAM from Crucial on dual boot PC (Vista/Ubuntu). Got immediate performance improvement on both operating systems, but more noticeable on Ubuntu. Used Crucial as have found them reliable and helpful in the past. Have had no problems.
