Was sooooo easy to do! just download ram check which is easy and tells you what you need, order at a very chep price and then install yourself (which is very easy i might add) then bang! computer working perfectley 10 times faster no problem running mulitple programmes.

The dimms arrived [...] in a hard protective box and a plastic envelope. Both dimms were sealed. Installation manual describes everything very clearly. After inserting them in mother board, Bios picks it up automatically on startup. Its very easy to install on Dell Dimension E520 and once you restart your pc, you'll clearly see the difference. It's amazing when you are running multiple programes at the same time especially when you are using windows vista. My pc used to respond very slowly with my 1 gb ram because I'm using McAfee internet security, widows vista and video format converting softwares while watching or downloading video files from the internet. However, after upgrading to 3 gb, 3D games start faster and and all other softwares run smoother. I've also noticed quicker vista startups and shutdowns after the upgrade. Having seen all these improvements in my pc, I'd definitely recommend it to others and I'll always choose Crucial memory in future.

I chose this item by using Crucial's website guide. It was easy to install, the instructions were clear, everything worked first time, no glitches. It is exactly what was needed, i now run xp with 3gb instead of 1, everything loads and runs faster and smoother, the hard drive sees much less action.

I have a Dell Dimension e520 which came with vista home premium and a pathetic 1gb of RAM which is no where near enought to run that OS in my opinion.

I slotted the memory in the machine in less than a minute and saw instant results! no longer does it take 5 minutes to load up windows along with the security software - its all done and dusted in 30 sec maximum! The computer works much faster in doing any task and now I can run more than one app at a time!

Great price and worked a treat for me

Access to the Dell E520 is easy, the memory banks sit at the top of the Motherboard, there isn't a great deal of room for fingers and it takes several attempts to ensure that the modules are properly located. After installation the bios automatically updates and accepts the additions.
