Won a laptop at work which had rubbish RAM. Ordered one first as was not sure how difficult it would be to install or what the actual effect would be on performance. In the end I ordered another. Both were easy to install and have improved the performance of the laptop.

I installed your scanner to establish the best upgrade for my laptop to increase performance & did as the recommendations, however my laptop runs off vista which requires 1.1gb to actually run windows vista, after inserting the new memory, i had to refer back to my old one to actually get it working again, Sorry but your scanner did not work, can you advise on this please, thanks. I am absolutely no computer whizz but after this was suggested to me by a friend to improve the tediously slow performance of my 3 year old laptop i tried it and it is now like having a brand new computer! I did have to ask a friend to fit it for me but i think that was more due to my complete lack of knowledge of the inside of a computer than anything else. Highly recommend this to anyone!

Needed the memory to speed up my Pc for multi-tasking etc and within minutes it was installed and working perfectly. A marked improvement was noticed as soon as the PC was turned on, would advise anyone with less than 2GB of memory installed to update immediately.

I had never installed any memory chips before so wasn't quite sure how it was done but Crucial also supplied some general instruction along with the memory I bought. This even included advice about static discharge which was good as I would never have known about that otherwise.

After installing the memory chip my laptop recognised the increased memory straight away without me having to start tweaking around with any system settings which was quite a relief for me.

Installed about a week ago to my wifes laptop, and it seems to have improved startup speed and general running speeds by quite a bit. Laptop is used daily for internet and emailing, but while mine is away for repair, it is useeven more as we are sharing it for facebook, emails iplayer etc and seems to be working very very well. Just a shame that we couldnt add more memory, but that is a hardware problem nothing to do with crucial.
