All perfect on the 2GB module, just a pity the 2x2GB pack didn't work, but it's an Apple problem, not Crucial, some MacBook Pro models should work with 4GB but they only recognize 3GB.

Very simple to use, its almost as easy as changing a battery, there are lots of step by step videos on YouTube if you're worried.My Macbook Pro is now noticeably quicker and it only took 2 mins and [$]....ace!

I had to visit a friend's place packed with the right screwdrivers, a grounding mat and straps. It took me less then 15 min's to install including the time spent starting up Apple Hardware Test to double check my memory which passed with flying colours.

Aperture, Photoshop, and Canon's Digital Photo Professional just fly, all together at the same time. I now enjoy my increased productivity.

The installation was straightforward, and all seems well with the performance of my powerbook pro, but even though the computer recognizes the new RAM, in Photoshop CS3, I'm shown 3GB of RAM as the maximum recognized...curious?

Absolutely fantastic product, I mainly bought it so that I could run Windows XP through VMware without it slowing down OSX. It worked and runs very fast with no slow down.

The product came packaged safe and securely. I spent a day driving round shops trying to find a #00 Phillips screwdriver to undo the RAM Casing on my Macbook Pro. Found a nice set of precision screwdrivers which worked perfectly.

The only problem I have with it is the fact that it lowers the battery life. But that's what you get with upgrading.

I should stress that I have used Crucial (both US and UK) before, with complete satisfaction.
In this case the memory installed easily, and worked without any problem (in a MacBook Pro) for a few weeks. Then it went bad. The original Apple memory was reinstalled and worked perfectly, but the Crucial modules, when I tried again, would not even allow the machine to boot, giving simply the ominous three tone cluster. Crucial are replacing the modules, so I hope for no further problems.

Service & Delivery comments:

The first order did not arrive. I blame this on the UK Post Office (as within the past year other small packets have not been delivered). Crucial resent the order immediately I informed them, but of course time had been wasted. It arrived in good condition, and my experiences of Customer Service have always been good.
