it has increased the speed my computer runs and that is why I purchased it with this hope. Unfortunately it doesn't help with viewing film clips etc or things like that

My previous experience of memory upgrades involved boards the size of a book, and memory approx 1Mbyte. Having 2Gb smaller than two credit cards meant that the only problem was the little clips at the side: too fiddly for my fingers; I like the old Zero Insertion Force sockets which clamp down when you've finished (showing my age).

I am staggered at the speed increase in my laptop over a standard 512Mb memory card. What impressed me most was the speed increase when simply navigating the internet. A web "images" search on a search engine for example, now fills the entire screen with images in about half a second after pressing Search. I also edit sound and vision on this machine and I am expecting to find similar benefits.

I got this for my wife's laptop. Before she was having to wait for it to process but now it zips through every operation.

Our Lenovo laptop was struggling so much that my wife had taken ownership of my MacBook! Installing RAM is idiot-proof and took me less than 30 secs to fit. Lenovo laptop up and running straight away; no issues with the RAM which it found and operated seamlessly. Laptop now running much smoother and quicker - I now have my MacBook back!
