Speeded up the programme that was really running slow: Quark Express. Before I could hardly use it as it was running so slow, taking a minute every time I tried to save something and pictures taking an age to move. Now it's very fast. No problems.

Always been scared about opening my computer and changing anything inside.. but need made me bold and it proved to be simplicity itself... although I had to get specific installation instructions for my MacBook from an Apple forum as the enclosed instructions with the Ram were not detailed enough for me.

Installation was a breeze and computer fired up immediately with the new Ram showing and working well... I still get the occasional whirly carousel but speed of applications is noticeably (except the dreaded Microsoft ones!) better.

The Crucial memory check utility correctly identified the existing Macbook spec and RAM upgrade options. The memory arrived quickly and was easy to install. The increase from 1GB to 2GB on a 13-inch white Macbook 2.0GHz Intel was instantly noticeable. Overall a very cost effective upgrade and highly recommended. The only pity is that the Macbook would only take a maximum 2GB RAM and the 2 x 512MB existing SIMMs couldn't be re-used (not a fault of Crucial).

Not much to say really, we are talking about RAM. Having added the two 1Gb Sticks to my 2007 Mac Book, it now runs multiple applications without noticeable slowness which was beginning to cause major slow-downs especially with having upgraded to Snow recently.

I upgraded the RAM as I had experienced slow speeds when I upgraded to Leopard with a previous 1Gb MacBook. With 2Gb installed the upgrade process flashed by without issue. The MacBook rebooted and installed all of the updates required allowing me to get on with testing. Working with Safari, Keynote, Mail, Pages and Spreadsheet open I could jump between applications with ease without any sign of lag.
