Once I'd found the correct screw driver for taking off the back, everything went together with no bother. Re-booted and the machine was transormed. I'd been running on only 256Mg of Ram so the extra Gig meant that it ran about 4 times faster.

Combined with a 'restore to factory settings' and re-install of everything EXCEPT the junk on my laptop, the memory upgrade has been superb... one laptop performing fast and reliably..... I now want to do the same to my husband's ... so I will be back!
