I was looking to upgrade my macbook from 2GB to 4GB for a while and it was around £90 last time I looked, when I found it was now [$] [...] it was a no brainer. Wasn't expecting much of an improvement as its obviously the same CPU and Graphics etc but it did make a difference. My Macbook is used daily for email, internet and for home studying. I use the Macbook to sync my itunes with my Apple TV, I normally toggle between multiple tasks all running the same time. The macbook was starting to slow with 2Gb Ram. With 4Gb's it copes very well.

this works really well in my new macbook unibody, i use this to virtualise windows xp and ubuntu 8.10. this makes performance much better than the stock 2gb of ram ( i bought 2x 2gb)
