If been trying to squeeze a bit more out of my Dell Dimension 9100 until I upgrade to a new pc. I'd been stuck with 1gb of ram since I bought it, having nothing to lose I bought 2gb extra ram, installed with no problems and resulted in a significant performance boost - why didn't I do it earlier!?

I purchased this RAM upgrade based on Crucial's scanning tool.[...] The complete installation took me less than 15 minutes and has had a dramatic effect on some applications e.g. Photoshop. It has also improved performance accross the board on my 4 year old Dell Dimension. The only comment I would make is that I had to wear gloves in order to insert the final chips because you have to press them in so firmly it was making my thumbs ache!
