It was easy to install and i had absolutely no problems once the system was turned back on. The improvement to multitasking was very noticeable.The memory check program i ran from the site ensured that the memory i was buying would be compatible with my computer. The Crucial website system to detarmine my requirements needed no more than for me to input the Make and model of my PC and allow Crucial to scan my computer. A friend still working in the IT dept of a company I have retired from, put me on to Crucial after I asked for her assistance with my slow performing Dell 5050. I logged into Crucial's website, got a memory assestment from Crucial's software which recommended that I install 2 x 1 gb memory cards. I made the purchase and within 48 hours the items arrived with fitting instructions. They were easy to fit (don't be frightened of taking your computer cover off. Just follow the instructions) and the result was immediately obvious. Faster internet connnections and page changes, plus my daughter's 1296 wedding pictures are now available to view without waiting hours for them to download. Thanks crucial.

Upgraded from 1GB Ram to 3GB. Followed instrustions in the pack and moved the smaller memory module to the second slot and put new ones in. First reboot had a keyboard failure and thought i had cracked the motherboard. But i had just uplugged it putting the memory in. Rebooted and worked fine. Windows recognised it straight away.
