In both instance the small application that checks your machine and recommends the correct upgrade took all of the hassle in making sure you ordered the correct chips. Installation was easy following the instructions on the Apple website and took less than 10 minutes start to finish. Make sure you have a small cross head screwdriver to remove the cover plate for the memory. Noticed a small improvement in turning a slideshow into a Quicktime movie on iPhoto - 4'52" down to about 4'25" if my memory is correct. Probably helps with multi-tasking. If the machine remains useable for another year it's a worthwhile upgrade.

FANTASTIC PRODUCT!!! I had a good friend recommend me this site and its been a pleasure from start to finish!

The RAM has signficantly upped the speed of my computer and was easy to install. Please note, you need to use a LOT of force to get it in. Had to ask for help with mine!

It has been a straight forward installation and has given my old Macbook that much needed added boost. The increase in initial speed is just noticeable but the main difference has come in the form of it not slowing down after playing media and other programs (or leaving it on for some time). Well worth the pretty price!

I upgraded from my original 1GB memory to 4GB using the crucial upgrade. It was straightforward to install and my mac seems fast enough although I have not noticed a significant difference in real terms. However things were starting to freeze before I upgraded the memory, and since the upgrade my mac has not frozen. Early days yet and no real problems to report.

The memory was sold as compatible with my MacBook 13" white 2.2GHz (4th gen) but in the end I could not use both modules in my machine because of known compatibility problems.
Had to return the item and wait for a different component to be available.
I'm sure this modules will work on a lot of other machines though, but it didn't on mine.

Service & Delivery comments:

Prompt delivery, courteous and quick answer on the phones and prompt return and refund on the faulty item. Even if it was not working, ay least the service from crucial was really a total peace of mind.

Excellent upgrade. Apple says the MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz mid 2007 is limited to 2Gb RAM, but you CAN upgrade it to 4Gb RAM and it is recognised by the machine.

This is the single most useful and cost-effective upgrade that you can do for your Macbook and it will love you for it! The memory is so simple to install that even your gran could do it and the extra RAM instantly boosts your system.

I can now simultaneously edit large graphic files in Photoshop, code XHTML in Dreamweaver, stream music in iTunes and browse the internet in Firefox (and we all know what a memory hog that little app can be!) without hardly seeing that annoying spinning wheel.

You won't regret it!

The main reason I upgraded was to speed up garage band and it certainly did that! I can also run many other hungry programs simultaneously now I have my crucial ram. Dispatch of the goods was almost instant and I received good communication notifying me as such. I would highly recommend using Crucial to anyone!
