Installing this 2Gb SODIMM on a laptop that had a 1 Gb card already, I found I had to swap slots, and put the bigger memory card in the 1st slot and the smaller in the 2nd, for it to boot up and except it ok, but then was done, a 3GB machine!

Really worth the money! I was running out of patience with my laptop & wanted to upgrade memory so used the crucial system scanner. Good advice on what products to go for in order to get the best from my laptop which is being drained by vista. The new memory arrived the next day. I removed the existing memory & replaced with the new which has resulted in much better overall performance.

I needed to increase the overall performance of a low cost laptop using Vista. I puchased 2x2GB SODIMM's as determined by the remote analysis of the laptop. Unfortunately, the "cheap" laptop could not cope with 4GB so, after discussions with Crucial's technical experts on the free telephone service about the problem, they agreed to refund both the cost of 1 SODIMM together with my postage costs. An excellent and brilliant service.

I have installed memory modules befor without a problem. However, the installation on an HP Compaq 6720s laptop caused all sorts of problems. Computer kept showing error messages, shut down to protect computer etc. Spoke to technical who told me to just save and exit- more problems. Spoke to technical a few days later, told me to remove original memory, insert Crucial in original slot and move old memory to extra slot. That worked.
